Almond Bread Second Time Lucky
I was delayed with this post because my first attempt at Almond Bread was NQR; it was ‘Mother’s day’ Sunday 8 May and as planed I got baking, the recipe was easy and the bread was tasty, good texture and had a nice browning. But when I came to slice it thinly as required after 24hur, it crumbled.
So I asked the expert (just like every other time) and Sam spent a couple of days in his kitchen reformulating the recipe, which is now perfect.
Result is a delicious and inexpensive Gluten Free Almond Bread Recipe…and we made a Step by Step Video, to show you just how easy it is. Happy Baking! |

Gluten Free Almond Bread
I’m inspired to make almond bread – Gluten Free of course and the occasion is mother’s day (not that we need one).
The inspiration – Sam; he’s creating a recipe using the Well and Good classic bread mix (we love having multi-purpose products). Sam is using dates and cranberry’s because our factory and test kitchen is also nut free.... But I'm going to make fig and almond bread at home; both mum and I love figs.
I just Googled Almond Bread and found this terrific blog post, I recommend it. http://thrumykitchenwindow.blogspot.com/2010/04/philomenas-almond-bread.html
I’ll report back with our Gluten Free Almond bread recipe and pictures after the weekend, happy mother’s day!
